Pours a clear pale golden color with a fine-pored, stable big head.
The aromas are defined by currant bush, morning grass, lighter meadowsweet and toffee covered hay.
Mouthfeel on this is refreshing, well balanced and quite thirst quenching.
Tastes of dry hops with a lighter, bitter peak, crackers and a touch of melting toffee. Has s mellow, yet refreshingly carbonated middle part with slightly more malts and more apparent, coumarin defined hay among withered woodruff. Finishes crisp with a lasting earthy, floral and harmonic bitterness, lasting, soft hay and a note of old bread rind.
Overall this is a very well nuanced Pilsener with a soft (and sweet) soul.

Sampled from a bottle at the Greif Gasthaus in Forchheim.
This pils poured a clean, golden color with good carbonation from the bottom of the glass, and with creamy, white foam that persisted and clung to the glass. The smell was very mild: malt with light hops. The taste was mild as well: malt, hops, light hoppy bitterness with a touch of floral hops in the finish. There was a light bready flavor, especially in the finish as the beer warmed. The mouthfeel was smooth and crisp and dry with medium body and moderate carbonation. It was relatively clean overall. This was a pretty good German pils.
