Poured from a can into a tulip glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a small head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather strong of a cracker malt and doughy smell mixed with lots of yeast and a bit of candied sugar. Along with these aromas comes notes of coriander and clove and a rather strong presence of a white/green grape smell. Other aromas of bubblegum and banana and a bit of lemongrass and pepper are there as well, giving a rather sweet, and very inviting aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet cracker malt, with the sweet being a nice bland of candied sugar, grape, and bubblegum. Other flavors of caramel and apricot, mixed with a bit of peach and pear are there as well. Upfront the yeast and spice are lighter in intensity, but as the taste advances forward flavors of yeast, clove, and coriander become more pronounced. At the same time some of the bubblegum and grape fade a touch with a little bit of banana taking its place. At the very end, there is a surge of sweet, and with a little bit of hay, one is left with a rather sweet, crisp, and highly flavorful triple taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew was medium to light in crispness, with a carbonation level that was moderate. For the flavors and the style, the feel is fantastic and makes for a nice easy sipper.
Overall – A very nice and flavorful, well-balanced brew. One I will certainly go back to again.

Pours a clear golden color wih a 1/2F head and light lacing.

Smells of bready yeast and banana with some spice.

Tastes of sweet malt, belgian yeast, apple, pear and cloves with bitter hop alcohol warm finish.

Medium light body with light carbonation. Clean dry mouthfeel.

This brew is reasonably close to the style. Otherwise, it's light on the yeast and spice while being heavy on the hop bitterness.

Putting the above quibbling aside, it's definately worth a try.

Good lace from the modest head. Cloudy amber.

Nice all spice and star anise smell. Mild booze and yeasty aroma.

This is a well made Tripel--all of the flavors meld together providing a single complex profile. All of the expectations are present but need to be teased out to be identified. Lightly sweet, but subtle. Bready. The alcohol is warming but not strong. Lots of pleasant spice. In short, a superior Tripel.
