First stop of two on my way to a comedy show at a club in NJ. This place reminds me of a pretty standard brewpub, there is a bar and lots of tables to sit at. The service wasn't bad, the food was ok. The beer was also ok, we only had time for one round so it was a very quick stop. Overall it's a nice place and if I was in the area again I'd probably check it out again.

Finally went back since covid. Hung out with friends and had a flight and ate some bar food. I probably rate this place higher than it deserves because I love downtown Somerville and spend a lot of time there. Their beers have improved since the last time I’ve been there. The space is great and I like being there. The wings were awesome. Worth visiting if you’re going for more than the beer itself.

Nice open space, plenty of room at the bar even with COVID restrictions. Had a flight of four beers of the 9 on tap. All were adequate at best. I decided the ESB was the best of the bunch and a had a full pour. Food was good. Service was a little inattentive with the amount of people there.

Decent tap list, only about 9 to 10 choices but varied and of those 3 were from outside breweries. From what I sampled the beer was good, not mind blowing but it didnt need to be. Food was more upscale than what I expected but it's in a neighborhood with a lot of very good upscale restaurants so I assume they're trying to compete. But everything looked,or tasted well done and enjoyed what I ate.
Bands are there often and from the 2 times I've been there the music was very good. For me though it was loud and that's not my thing but the crowd was really into it

I've been here a few times now, once for dinner and twice just for drinks. The entrance is awkward with a ton of open space in the front when you walk in, large enough that there are Cornhole boards set up. There is a large bar area on the left with some high top tables. Good views of the TVs from each high top. The dining room tables are all the way in the back and are spaced far from one another. One can't help but wonder that they could have done a lot more with the layout. It's just a huge, cavernous space with an awkward setup that gets very loud. There are fermenters visible to the back left which is a nice touch.
The first two times I went they did not have their license to brew yet so they were contract brewing. The third time they did and their beers are now brewed on premises. Between 8-10 beers on tap at any time with a good range of styles. I've had a stout, blonde ale, Oktoberfest, pale ale, among others... Beers are good, nothing that will blow you away. They need to work out the carbonation on a couple of them.
The menu is geared more towards fine dining than pub food. Sorry, I don't need a tuna poke bowl or steak au poivre at a brewery. The food that is available is solid though.
Service has been fine. Not overly friendly and they are usually crowded and busy. Overall, I'd choose many other bars over this one but the options nearby are lacking so it will do well.
