Our American IPA hopped with Citra, Galaxy, and El Dorado. Lovingly dry hopped with the same varietals. One sip and you’ll know we ain’t playin games; this ish is Straight Bars!

Straight out of a pint can and into a clear glass liter mug went the sixteen ounces. It's a decent pour that presents a somewhat murky, but relatively bright dirty blond colored brew, with only a little off-white head. The aroma is hoppy, more than starchy. For the hops, it's mainly citrus referenced. The starch could likely be predominantly oats. To taste, the hops also dominate, although they are softened by the starch. Mostly, they bring reminders of lemon, grapefruit and mango, yet the taste is never too sweet, nor too astringent. The starches bring a little earthiness whilst muting the hop bite. The lacing stratifies, but it's not abundant. Overall, it's a bit better than OK, with the muddling of the flavors its biggest flaw.

A: Pours a murky milky pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale golden yellow + straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a medium sized two finger thick cap in the center of the glass surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of juicy citrus/lime, citrus/grapefruit, gooseberry, and stone fruit/peach hops over the top of light aromas of biscuit + pale + grainy malts with light amounts of grainy sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + grainy malts with light amounts of grainy sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of juicy citrus/lime, citrus/grapefruit, gooseberry, and stone fruit/peach hops which impart a very light amount of bitterness which fades away very quickly leaving lingering citrus/lime and gooseberry hop flavors.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a moderate amount of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a very heavy dose of citrus/lime + gooseberry hop flavors and aromas.

No date stamp. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Hazy straw yellow with ample 1-2 fingers of white foamy head with good retention and lacing.

S: Strong lemon-lime and yellow grapefruit citrus aromas with very lean pale malt graininess

T: More malt character in the flavor but still not a lot, and that’s okay, this beer is designed to send a hops blast. Lime and yellow grapefruit pith are strongest with lemon and tart berry and light herbal grassiness in the background. Medium bitterness.

M: Light-medium body with high carbonation and slightly but not unpleasant astringent feel.

O: Impressive lower ABV NEIPA from Short Throw.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy whitish yellow in color. It poured with a short bright white head that left a webbing of lacing on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of gooseberry and lime are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of gooseberry and lime along with additional hints of pear and stone fruit. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New England IPA has a heavy dose of hops and isn't a bad selection if you like gooseberry and lime.
