Notes: Collaboration with Triple Crossing

Mutual Respeck is a combination of our two styles of brewing, and an ode to our friendship. This DIPA features Cashmere and Citra hops, and is affectionately dry hopped with the same varietals. Expect notes of tropical fruits, citrus, peaches, and oranges, all riding on an extremely drinkable and unobtrusive base.

L: Poured from a crowler to a snifter glass. Had a yellowish color and an extremely cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, very long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.

S: A sweet and enticing aroma of citrus fruit, hops, tropical fruit, pine and malt.

T: Tasted of a bit of pine (subtle, but definitely present), light malt notes (mostly in the finish; not a huge factor), a good shot of hops (a below average amount - just right for the style), some citrus fruit (orange, in particular), and a good amount of tropical fruit (guava and papaya). This is a sweet, fruity, and lively flavor. Very tasty.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.

O: AN extremely well made NE IPA. Drinkable.

No canning date (released week of 4/30/20, so presumably canned within a few days of that date)

Pours in entirely hazy, glossy deep gold body capped with multiple fingers of dense, rocky, soapy white foam; great head retention leaves a light veil of cap and chunks of cap climbing upward; a comprehensive walling of moderate, soapy lacing leaves webby strands and a dense overall coating along the walls of the glass.

Aroma bursts with notes of tangerine, guava, earthy pineapple, moss, and touches of cream to impart a fullness to the front end of the bouquet; a fluid minty tone and some dank eucalyptus feature in the middle, softening into a weedy cotton candy tone on the close.

Taste hits with waves of mango, banana peel, earthy pineapple, touches of bready spice, guava, and tones of grass all shining throughout the profile; fuzzy peach skins and that familiar dank cotton candy present into the finish and on the swallow.

Mouthfeel shows a medium body and a plush moderate carbonation, presenting a palate juicy and bright as an earthy grit appears steadily; a soft hop oil texture glazes along the back end to a vaguely chalky swallow; very casual lack of alcohol presence.

The unique expression of Citra and Cashmere hops here leaves this one remaining juicy and endlessly approachable in texture while harmonizing some distinctly oddball hop tones of earth and citrus effectively throughout; an eminently drinkable 8% NEIPA.
