Very thick pour from can. Think purée but just barely backed off that level. Nose is slightly pungent. Lacing is similar to what a typical fruit juice would leave. Taste is as expected mango and apricot. Feel is bitter at first that gives way to a smooth sweetness across palate .

if fruit beer could be a soup. then the brewers of Short Throw is ready with spoons. Chocked full of mango and apricot, their heavily fruited Gose-styled ale is basically what smoothies want to be once they grow a thicker skin.

Thre Treachery of Fruit series lands at the feet of these tropical and stone fruits with a viscous pour of straight golden orange fruit puree. A patient release of froth eventually coats the glass with sticky fruit and soapy foam. Densely packed with tropical fruit aromas, the scent is a straight forward dedication to the apricot and mango with a sweeter pastry-rich and marshmallowy maltiness at its upstart.

Mouthcoating with fruit pulp, juices and puree, the starchy malt layers a nougat thickness throughout the middle palate with peppery tartness of cider and white wine underneath. Without any opportunity to dry or balance in its later taste, the ale continues with sherbet-like sweetness and porridge consistency.

Thick, rich and cloying on the palate, the richness of fruit is undeniable. With scurvy nowhere in sight, the beer's fruitiness is both its culinary delight and its deterrent for refreshment. Its about as drinkable as mashed potatoes with a medium long aftertaste of the perscribed fruit in all its pith, peel and juicy glory.

16oz can. Poured out a thick, dark orange color with a small, light orange head of bubbly foam. It didn't look like beer. Looked like a smoothie. It left sudsy sheets of lace. It smelled strongly of apricot and mango. Sweet fruity taste with a subtle tartness.
