Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Co.
We teamed up with our homies at Other Half to continue our long standing basketball themed collab series. Alley Oop combines Strata, Cashmere, El Dorado and Citra hops in the boil; we went Citra heavy here. For dry hopping we used Strata & Cashmere, two of our favorites right now. The end result is nothing less than what you would expect; a hazy, tropical, juicy, drinkable DIPA that crushes. We're here for the assist, it's your time to shine.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pine, orange peel, toasted caramel and some floral notes. Nice grapefruit taste with bitter pine, toasted caramel and some orange.

From a 2-week-old can, pours a hazy orange. Big white head of dense off-white foam leaves thick lacing. Smell has bright lemon-lime and tropical fruits, along with some earthy dank. Taste follows. Very good beer.

A: cloudy; pale gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a thick, big bubbled collar; little lacing;
S: peach, mango, pineapple, and strawberry;
T: muddled tropical fruit and citrus up front; from the middle through the finish, it's balanced between orange and pineapple;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: good, but I had higher expectations;

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high dense white head.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberry and lime are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of lychee along with hints of lime. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is quite drinkable considering its strength and goes down easily.
