didnt realize this was a series, but i am fairly certain the peach one is the only one to have come around here in boise. good to try a few from these guys in a row, i have been perhaps unfairly critical of them based on the business model not the liquid, so this is the shot they deserve. its tasty, like it tastes good, but this is not objectively good beer, its a mess, like so many other smoothie, slurpy, slushy, whatever sours, this is full of sediment, thick and textured like fruit puree, no head at all, and feels almost gelatinous on the palate, just not a nice texture, even if its the intention, and for being this dense, there really isnt any grain flavor to it, like the can suggests, its almost not even really beer. the flavor though is good, the peach seems pretty natural and forward in this, its juicy and ripe and the right amount of sweet against the light lactic tang this has, some lemon and orange notes highlight it, and there is an accent of vanilla to me, perhaps a light salt thing too, minerals in the mix giving it some grounding balance in the absence of a more robust malt complexion. the souring is clean, to its credit, and the flavor of the fruit is almost a peach ice cream thing, its good, but i cant do it with this texture, its sloppy, i dont care what anyone says or what is trendy right now or anything else, this can be refined and still taste like this, i am sure of it. jury still out on short throw for me after a couple of their beers, they should be cheaper for one, but this is different enough to be its own thing, even if it is following a fad. good but also not good, tastes nice, feels whack. i dare someone to drink a few of these...
