Copenhagen 27/52024. 33 cl tall slim can from Beer Me web shop. Dark can with a sad-looking demon gazing at me.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - mahogany with a big off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, sugary odor mingling with a healthy dose of sweet alcohol. Brown sugar in abundance, sweet plums and raisins. Sweet liqueur.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, sticky, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is rather intensewith a heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary sweet with a touch of alcohol. Lingering. Finish is sweet and boozy.
Sugary and boozy Barley Wine.
