This one pours a clear golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells mildly toasty, with some light citrus, and breadiness.

This is fairly middle of the road, but not in a completely bad way. It’s got the toasty malty thing going, with a touch of bitterness and a touch of citrusy hop character that feels slightly out of place, but not completely unwelcome.

This is very light bodied, crisp, clean, and drinkable.

This is somewhere middle of the road for the many versions of this style that I’ve had over the years – I’d have it again if I ever saw it.

nice and steady take on festbier, the lighter side of oktoberfest, drinkable, well refined, frothy headed and crystal clear, super well refined and clean looking, smelling, and tasting, my first in awhile from these guys and a solid one overall, seems like they are doing good things right now. more golden to brassy but still with some color, just short of orange, looks proper in a dimpled mug. the nose on this is biscuity and fresh, some light honey to it, faint amaretto and fallen leaf earthiness, along with some classic german lager yeast which with the lighter grain really leaves a mark on this, snappy and clean too for being malt driven, minimalist in the best possible way, and the flavor agrees. lighter than many even others in this festbier space, pleasant lightly baked malt thing, some kilned richness but this stays quite dry, and the german yeast is important, it starts early, and it dries this out well. some very modest noble hops on the back end adding a little interest, subtle residual bitterness but very very clean on the swallow and with good carbonation and frothiness the whole drink. this is hearty while still being incredibly drinkable, and the quality stands out. was cool to check out their place near the mall, great little pub!

Pours a pale amber. Thin foam. Malty aroma. Lightly sweet malt body. Very thin. Not bad flavor but lacks substance. One and done.

This one is yellow, with one inch of creamy, off-white head that quickly disappears. Light haziness within, and patchy lace upon, a Spaten dimpled mug.

The aroma opens with lemon and light grains. While fresh, there is an unfortunate soapiness that detracts from the enjoyment.

The flavor has crisp, light bitterness and faint sweetness. Surprisingly, there are notes of acidity as well. This is, by no stretch, to be mistaken as sourness. Lemon and lime zest contrast against grains and straw. These are rather mild and lead to a long finish with nibbles of acidity and lemon.

The body is medium to light, with a coarse nylon texture. There is little to no presence of alcohol, while the carbonation has a light prickliness.

Despite the deviation from style guidelines, this is an enjoyable drinking beer. There is nothing special though one can unwind and easily make a lazy session of the afternoon.
