another good hoppy beer from these guys, on tap at their new syracuse location, what a great little spot, looked like good food too but we didnt eat, nice beer list, great service, chill vibes, really rad. this is a little bit more dense to me than the earn your turns, duller in the glass, but even more vibrant on the hop side, maybe some southern hemisphere varietals at play, it hits uniquely fruity, vinous, and upbeat, i liked this quite well, even if the whole thing would be improved slightly by being a lighter and more repeatable. love the name. the pour is a little milky, pale, and muted, with an almost inch of airy white head resting on top, relaxed carbonation is apparent. the nose is green melon, crisp apple, generic white wine, and a little mandarin orange from the can, some soft sweetness, good grain support but very light in flavor, more of a texture thing, and a clean ferment. they have their basics really well down here, water chemistry, yeast fundamentals, their beers are professional and tidy even in this sort of thing. green grape and peppy lemongrass as it warms, verdant but not biting and harsh or vegetal, smooth and long tasting, on the tongue awhile without any burn or palate loss. i like the pale nature of the grain, the fresh and distinctive hop mix, and the light bitterness is closes with. could be some citra in here, but id love to know the full mix. very tasty.
