Hazy IPAs are usually quite good, and this is no exception. This one, however tries too hard and can be overly funky.
It pours an insanely hazy light yellow. I used to accuse brewers of using adjuncts to get such "color." The aroma is a nasty hazy IPA stench. The taste is similarly funky and busy - too much going on and it doesn't all work, for a lingering experience that is powerful but not clean.
It's funny, for the last week I've been in a backcountry Colorado ski town (Crested Butte) and you couldn't find a brew like this to save your life. I would have loved one. Now that I'm home I think it would have tasted better there.
Not recommended. I don't know what I paid for this but it was probably a lot. I almost rated this a bit higher because of all the great ingredients that went into this, but it is just not a brew I would want to repeat buy.
