Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a muddy, orange-brown color with a modest, ecru-colored cap and thin sheen of lacing. The fragrant nose is malty and nutty with caramel/toffee, and a whiff of leather and tobacco smoke. Its taste is mellow with caramel malt, toffee, and earthy, burnt nuts, and distinct notes of lemon peel and grapefruit. It finishes with a hoppy bitterness. It's lite and quaffable with lively carbonation, and the 4.5% ABV is appropriate. Overall, Thinks and Thoughts is a pleasing Pale Mild Ale that packs a lot of flavor for its modest gravity. It's refreshing. And I award style points for Two Villains' decision to brew this rather obscure style. Also, kudos to the brewery for canning it.
