Sad to say I wasn't even able to choke/gag this one down. Really incredibly and wildly unpleasant aroma and flavor, nobody at the party (not even a few college kids who swore by busch light) could smell it let alone drink it.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pilsner glass. Had a dirty yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing to speak of.

S: A lot of malt, as expected, but also a little hops and an unpleasantly funky quality.

T: Tasted of a whole bunch of malt, a tinge of hops, with corn and a grainy quality. Overly malty, to be sure, and this is just one problem. It's too top heavy and almost skunky to be effective.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with an almost metallic finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Euro Pale Lagers are rarely great and this is no exception. It's a malt bomb with little to recommend it.

Not a bad import from Poland. Worth trying again

Label says "Lomza Piwo Jasne Pelne", 6%.
Pours clear golden (a bit towards copper) with a small white head that lasts for a while.
Smell of sweet malts, alcohol, a weird medicinal note and some faint hops.
Taste starts with sweet malts, syrupy, with some hints of honey, corn and some biscuit. A mild fruitiness also, some apple and pear. Something spicy (or more like numbing alcohol) follows, mixed with a bad bitterness, resulting in a bad finish, unclean and off-putting.
Medium body, fizzy like mineral water. Actually refreshing, if not for the poor aftertaste.
Eh, not exactly horrible, but not too good. Really cheap tho, so it doesn't hurt to try it.

Clear amber tinged with a little brown. Nice head of coarse foam in the plastic cup. Aroma is that classic European hop with the skunky note, though not unpleasant.

Very sweet. The hops are quite pervasive. I would be interesting to try a beer with the same level of these hops but without the sugar. It's hard to fault the carbonation, though the mouthfeel has that syrupy note with all the sugar. Malty with sweet corn flavors, with a finish that is more aromatic with hops than bitterish.

A novelty that is just barely drinkable. But on a damp night in the Polish countryside with the smell of cows and cut hay, it might be just the thing. From the 500 ml bottle bought at La Bodega Wines & Spirits in Riverside.

The beer was provided by my neighbor, who often provides me with Polish beers. The lager was a golden straw color with a modest white head. The aroma was slightly malt and biscuity. One might even detect a little honey is one really searches. I really enjoyed the refreshing taste of this one. It begins with a very sweet malt and evolve into a dry finish. A honey sweetness is detectable. Overall, a nice import from Eastern Europe.

Appearance: Golden, straw-colored; big head, long lasting

Aroma: Slight malty; very bready; little honey

Taste: Juicy malt on start; sweet in the end with a slightly bitter finish; a slight honey mead feel and slight honey taste, not much though.

Remarks: Drank too warm in Poland; no refrigerator

Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores
