I find this beer to be a bit underrated here. Most lagers are underrated on beeradvocate, due to the bad name that the macro's have given them, but this is a dang good lager. As a matter of fact, it is my favorite Polish beer thus far. Poland is big into a variety of strong lagers, and this one comes out tasting the best. Sweet smelling, full bodied, strong carbonation, and the most unique refreshing aftertaste of the Polish lagers I've had thus far. It's an extremely nice balance between the sweets and bitters. And this beer does not try to overdue the ABV, as too many polish beers do. I think they are too used to their vodkas :)

I will upload a picture so you can see it's glory... the direct translation is GOLDEN COCK! With a nice gold rooster on the label. Fun.

Pours very slightly fogged straw. No head. The only interesting part about the nose is a very faint hint of lemon. Flavor is as you would think. Not very eventful, a bit doughy, but fairly smooth overall. Feel is a bit dough like on the liquid with the typical carbonation. All of the sudden my stomach is starting to hurt as I drink this. I don't know if it is the beer or what. Either way. It's pretty boring and not much to run to the store for.

Poured a light straw hue with a half finger creamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell consisted of a light husky grain and a surprisingly herbal and earthy hop.

The taste featured a husky grain and mildly smoky malt. The spicy herbal hop also came through. Very clean.

The mouthfeel was light and clean. Decent doughy aftertaste.

Overall an easy drinking and suprisingly clean lager. No skunky Euro Lager essence. If I am ever in Poland . . .

One of my Christmas dinner picks while getting some last minute stuff at the market. Good excuse to try a new beer!

5% abv Poured a nice clear gold with a minimal head that totally disappeared within seconds (glass was perfectly clean). Light carbonation.

Had a husky grainy smell to it, not bad but not something that made me look forward to drinking it either.

Taste was lightly malty and grassy with a thin mouthfeel and a somewhat dry finish. I didn't notice any hops at all. Again, not bad but nothing out of the ordinary for a Euro Pale. I'd get this during the warm months as opposed to the usual macros if it weren't so easy for me to find Hevelius Classic.

golden with a lot of carbonation rising to a full white head.
grainy sweet vegetable aroma, with perhaps a little herbal-ish grassy hops, not a lot, just enough to let you know they're there.
sweet with a light tomato-like acididty, not as gross as it sounds, but not great. the sweetness seems sort of adjuncty. some hops towards the back end, but not too much.
in reading the review before mine, a greasy malt liquor type mouthfeel hits the nail on the head.
ok drinkability... not a problem getting through the bottle.
well... at least it was pretty.

Bottle obtained at Premier Gourmet while failing to find okocim porter:

Medium gold color with a thin layer of foam after 2-3 minutes.

Aroma of cereal grains and generic, mild sweet malt, slightly acrid.

Taste is standard golden lager, possible adjuncts. Rice-cake notes ahead of weak, lightly floral hops with a strong metallic finish.

Has a greasy, malt-liquor mouthfeel, but drier.

Only marginally drinkable on the merit of a few more hops than your typical macro.

The second letter in the name is actually an L, although it looks like a T on the label. This is just another typical pale European lager from Poland; and the Lomza Brewery tends to re-name and re-package their beers for different markets, but they're promoting this one right now.

It pours a crystal-clear light gold body which reveals a somewhat effervescent carbonation. The head retention is surprisingly good (but obviously buoyed by the steady streams of bubbles rising from beneath); and it leaves some very nice, sticky rings of lace throughout the glass. It offers an average, generic "beer" aroma. At least this bottle was not skunked... it was from an unopened case, and they do use brown glass! The flavor is a basic, balanced malt/herbal hop flavor. It's a little sweet, but no sweeter than Budweiser; and it's got a lot of hops in there. It finishes dry with a touch of residual malt at first, but then a good dose of leafy, herbal hops that hang on the tongue, and a bit of dull bitterness at the back of the mouth. A bit better than average.
