It's a self described double IPA, but lacking that category, let's just go with Imperial for its style. The pour to empty a pint can into a clear glass liter mug went flawlessly. It produced no distracting foam and provided only a modest head. There's a pleasant, but undefined malt/hop aroma that's there, just not poignant. The color of the brew is dark and dull dirty blond and it's opaque. It tastes a bit too sharply of pine, without any noticeable malt counterbalance. The lack of malt also reduces its body character. Yet, with its shortcomings, this is a decent hazy IPA rendition. It's a little light in body, but seemingly doesn't mind delivering a reasonable dose of piney and earthy hops. Just like the glass lacing, it's not great, but it's above OK.
