Sampling a cold 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. My can says PhilSner with an "S" not the "Z" listed here.
Picked up at the brewery a few weeks ago. Canned 7/2020.
the beer pours a bright clear gold color with a bleached white frothy head of about 1 cm. This foam fades quickly to a sturdy and large bubbled surface layer. Several fine streams of lazy carbonation rise to the surface.
The aroma on this beer is some grainy and husky malt a bit of a biscuit note and some herbal tea or spicy hop character. Kind of mild overall on the nose
First sip reveals a light body with very crisp texture and fine tingly carbonation. Easy drinking physical traits.
Flavor is similar to the nose with some light grain and slightly sweet flavor up front. This moves to a slightly bitey spicy hop bite that lingers after each sip. The finish is very dry and encourages me to take another sip. ABV totally hidden and the beer is very drinkable. Solid pils from a pretty new brewery in CT.
