A- Well....this pours exactly like an oil slick....15w40 to be exact! There is no head, no carbonation in appearance, and it looks heavy....even after a swirl nothing really happens.....Lacing is non existent too, rather, leaving behind only a dark brown film over the inside of the glass.....I'm convinced after only looking at this one that I should put this in my car engine lol.
S- I dont get a whole lot here....some modest coconut, perhaps some almond....crushed, vanilla, dark chocolate, mocha coffee, smooth alcohol and a finish that is deep and tropical/nutty....it lingers slightly too.....really not too much else to discuss here!
T- The flavors are quite nice here! Initial tastings of coconut milk, smooth vanilla, bourbon barrel char, like Old Overlord. Mocha coffee undertones, burnt almond, chocolate and black malt bitterness, smooth booze and the finish lingers and leaves behind sticky sweet coconut cake flavors. Not bad at all!
M/O- Ok, I'll say here right away....this is a sharing and sipping beer....I don't find the drinkability very good at all. The body this thick like a milkshake almost, so yes, it is heavy/full. The carbonation is actually quite smooth and the alcohol is very well hidden...nobody would know that this is 11.9%! I do like it and would have this again, but it is definitely a full Imperial Milk Stout that fills the belly!
