DoM is a blend of 7 malts, and oats, fermented with a Scottish Ale yeast that pushes oaky esters reminiscent of malt whiskey, atop the caramel, dark toffee and roasted coffee backbone of the malts. No adjuncts.

Black stout pour but the dark brown head is quite large. Earthy smoke merges from the chocolate, malt and oat base in the nose. Taste has smoky almost peaty stout base with rich creamy bakers chocolate, supporting dark soil, roasted malt and bitter root, but is not dynamic. Feel is medium bodied, dry, roasty and frothy with a smooth delivery, old school

16oz can from Tavour. Muddy brown pour, very little head to speak of.Aroma wa slight roasty malts and some chocolate. Taste doesn't defvate too much, some of the Scottish notes coming through, caramel. Overall, I wasn't overly impressed with this.

a:silky jet black color. no light penetrates. 1/2 finger dark tan head that fades very quick
s: huge aroma. roasted malts, dark chocolate, leather, and fig. cola, brown sugar, molasses, and a hint of soy sauce. generic dark fruits and a mild woody note. dark bread and dark caramel
t: huge hit of roasted malt and sugary sweet caramel. wood and candied fig. lots of sweet cola and some cocoa powder. milk chocolate and toffee to close along with a hint of roasty bitterness
m: heavy mouthfeel with low carbonation
o: a well-made beer, for sure. it's a tad too sweet for me, but it is a really good beer regardless of that. a sipper for sure

Whoa. What a pour. Haven't seen anything like this in quite some time. Beautiful deep black color with just a crazy dark brown, awesome head that just kept rising. Fantastic.
No noticeable nose.
Thick, rich taste. Heavy, cocoa, very nice. Good stuff.
Good beer.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a thin, somewhat fizzy, dark khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, coffee, postum and a hint of vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, bakers chocolate, boiled coffee, dark molasses; smoky finish with hints of Scotch peat. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess and active carbonation. A nice, roasty, dark stout that has good dark, unsweetened chocolate character and a great smoky finish; the closest I've seen in an non-adjunct stout to Scotch barrel aging. Apparently a Scottish yeast and I hope it becomes more popular, I'd love to see more stouts with this profile. Solid and unique. I'm likely to never see this again, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of whiskey, oak, toffee, coffee and and hints of vanilla. Sweet caramel, toffee, chocolate with sharp whiskey and notes of oak.
