Blends multiple base malts and five caramel and roasted malts with a huge addition of both malted and flaked oats, as well as dark malted wheat. It's thick and rich and decadent, with a beautiful oaky peat from the Scottish Heavy ale yeast.

Pours quite dark with no initial head before a slow build to a 0.25" cocoa ring; fine retention and no lacing. Nose is very booze forward, boozy vanilla; Mellow Corn; some dark fruit. Not very expressive, however. Taste starts off sweet (milk chocolate and fudge), some sweet bourbon flavors follow, but it fell off the cliff for me from there - there very little mid-palate and on the finish here, save a trace of roast spice. Feel is pretty light (for the ABV) with prickly carbonation. There's nothing objectionable here, but there just isn't any depth, even as it warms to room temp.

Pours a thick blackness with a thumb sized coco head that had good lace for a big brew.
Aroma is chocolate, peat, caramel, nutty notes.
Taste follows big caramel, loads of peat earthy goodness, chocolate, some liquorice notes. Thick and chewy big as stout.
Mouthfeel is big smooth lightly dry.
Overall a big stout, extra peat and earthy notes.

Beautiful pour. Deep deep brown/black color and nice head. Not too tall, but foamy and it stays for a bit.
No noticeable smell.
Delicious. Simple, smooth, rich, velvety. This is a great thick stout. ABV completely hidden.
Great beer.

Poured a rich, dark brown into Maibock glass. A 1/4-inch beige head formed that hinted at carbonation, but it took its leave.
The thick mouthfeel is evident on first sip. So is the flavor. My taste receptors glommed onto the Scottish Heavy yeast. There are no adjuncts in this stout. That's refreshing. There's a sweetness but not too. Smoky and roasty with a smattering of oats. That thick mouthfeel? It's also creamy in the finish.

First review. Can not dated but added to BA database on 5/9/2023. Poured at 63°. It pours nearly black with a creamy, medium mocha head and thin sheen of lacing. The nose offers, coffee, chocolate, caramel, and nutty char. Its taste is big and bold with notes of freshly brewed coffee, chocolate, wheat cracker, and earthy nuts. For a big Stout it's quite dry and grassy. The mouth feel is thick and creamy with low/moderate carbonation, and you can feel the 13% ABV. Overall, it's a solid Imperial Stout that is dry but flavorful.
