Looks awesome on pour. Walnut black, dense handsome head, but disappointingly little.lace. Sweet, boozy nose, lots of chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Smells appetizing. Sweet with a bitter dark chocolate finish. Coffee, too. Noticeable alcohol, but this just adds some dimension. This is sippin' beer for dessert. Powering it back will make it just too achingly sweet to enjoy. Drink this when you have time to go it slow.

Purchased via online delivery as a 4 x 473ml pack from the brewery store for just over $5 a can, which is pretty reasonable for a belter of a high-ABV stout from a newer Ontario brewery. This is an "Imperial Milk Stout" (which I'm assuming given the use of lactose sugar) brewed with graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallow to make what might be the greatest alternative to S'mores in the history of mankind! But let's drink it and see for ourselves...

Colour: Black with a solid head of foam

Nose: Heavy roasted coffee, carmalized sugars, vanilla wafers, cinnamon and sweet bread

Palate: Very rich and flavourful but not super thick on the mouthfeel despite the proof, lots of chocolate, cinnamon, graham crackers, ginger cookies, almond milk and evaporated milk with a quick dry finish with lingering notes of milk sugar and graham cracker crumble

A really unique stout indeed! I just somewhat wish this was a bit thicker on the mouthfeel but despite that it has a load of complexity and the idea of an imperial milk stout is pulled off fantastically! Well done Willibald!
