Another beer from Canada. I have been imbibing several pale ales lately. The pour is mesmerizing; it created a creamy head two-fingered head. The retention is excellent; moreover, the slow dissipation left lacing on the glass. A golden yellow with straw hues charts the color around SRM 6. The clarity is hazy with some yeast floaties. Overall this has an elegant appearance.
The hop aromas are melon, pineapple, orange, bay leaves, floral, and mango. Nosing the glass several more times, I detect crackers and lightly toasted malts.
That has a different flavor and tastes like Ekuanot hops. The flavors I am detecting are melons, mangos, peaches, oranges, wood, herbal, toasted cracker, and light bread crust.
The mouthfeel is slightly astringent and finishes soft and airy. The body is medium-light and has medium carbonation.
I taste the yeast, and it has a mineral quality on the backend. The hops are not forced on you; however, there is a lot for a pale ale. I think I would classify this as a hazy pale ale if there is such a thing. I drank this beer around 44 degrees. Overall, an enjoyable beer this spring night in Idaho. Thank you, Peter.
