Can from the brewery racked Sept. 24....pours a hazed pale straw color (rather light for a marzenbier) with a healthy 3 finger white cap that lasts....aromas of fresh bread and smoke, not overpowering..pear cider undertones....medium bodied, well rounded character....flavor has bready malts in front in balance with the smokey undertones (not overpowering like a Aecht Schlenkerla Marzen)...lightly sweet but goes dry in the finish where malts and hops balance....a very decent smoked festbier
