When Pigs Fly

On tap at The Brain during the Willibald takeover. Served fairly cold into a tulip.

Appearance - Black as night, small head that fizzles out almost immediately.

Smell - Muted nose, but whiskey notes, hints of coffee and dark chocolate and a general roastiness is present.

Taste - Lots of whiskey up front. Wood, vanilla, molasses and leather aplenty. Great depth of flavor. Some dark fruit shines in with figs and dates as the beer opens up.

Mouthfeel - Full bodied, smooth and thick like engine oil. Heat in the back of the throat from the first sip as expected.

Overall - Very solid imperial stout that is whiskey forward, but doesn't become whiskey dominated if that makes any sense.
