A classic, West Coast-style IPA reminiscent of the beers that got us all hooked in the first place. A sturdy malt backbone supports a hop profile that is resinous, piney, and citrus forward. Simply hopped with the American classics Cascade & Centennial.

Drinks like a pale ale at best, but the hop profile is interesting enough.

Pours darker than most IPAs. This is more brown than copper, similar to a sweet tea. Head was off white. Left over was nice lacing. Nose was a malty hint and also somewhat piney. Taste was the most similar part of this IPA to the typical IPAs. Backend was bitterness, yet not overwhelming. Good beer.

A: Pours a darker orange color. A small white head rises and recedes quickly. Light lace is left behind.
S: The nose is fairly simple. Pine resin, grapefruit and citrus notes. Classic C hops, and thats all you get. Not much nuance, but enjoyable enough.
T: Like the nose, all the C hops are up front. Pine, citrus, grapefruit. It becomes woody like as well, along with lingering bitterness that lasts forever.
M/O: A medium body. Moderate carbonation, and pretty clean. Though the bitterness just takes over after a while for me, along with the simplicity, makes this more of a one and done for me.
Definitely an old school west coast IPA. Just C hops and bitterness. Reminds me of the IBU wars about 10 years or so ago. Nothing particularly bad about this. just fairly one noted and bitter. Which makes it a middle of the road IPA for me.

Pour is a medium amber; clear with a huge off white head. good retention.
nose is grapefruit, hint of orange rind, pine
Taste follows. firm bready toffee malt upfront. hints of pine, resin, grapefruit. more malt than I'd care for. And like sierra-nevada-type ipas. Nothing "wrong" per-say. More like a hoppy amber?

Pours a hazy amber color with a thick foamy head. Head retention very good as is lacing. Light on the aroma. Somewhat tropical. Mild citrus? Grassy? Somewhat malty taste. Tropical and floral. Nice piney bitterness. Well made.
