I had to write this to counteract the other one. This is a very one-note beer. No complexity at all. It’s like a, and this doesn’t make it bad, diluted Chianti with lactose.
L: luscious mostly red wine, with a touch of brown. Bubbles around the edge and nothing else.
S: almost nothing. What there is foreshadows the taste.
T: I wish I hadn’t been expecting more. Flat. A diluted red wine, with some lactose. Might be great with the right food. Might dilute a spicy green salsa or Asian mustard perfectly.
F: almost nothing. A little curl in the middle of the tongue from the yeast. That’s it.
O: saw the 4.33 and thought this would be amazing. It could definitely be a gateway sour for your friends who aren’t ready for more. If I gave it to my wittydumbhotkind bartender friend who hates 80% of the beer she tries but still tries it for the 20%, she’d hate this.
