Pale White Stout conditioned with Boomtown Coffee.
Brewed with club member Justin Berry, this beer is absolutely one of the more experimental beer concepts we’ve played with to date. Brewed with loads of wheat and oats for a silky mouthfeel, and a very light amount of lactose for some residual sweetness. Right before packaging we cold conditioned on some coffee beans that Boomtown was kind enough to roast specifically for this project.
The result is a beer that very closely resembles the flavor and mouthfeel of a rich stout, without using any of the usual roasted barley or chocolate malts.
