A: Pours with a light haze, which clears up after a minute. A golden/yellow color with a one finger white head. That recedes quickly with little lace.
S: There is a cooked green celery/veggie aroma here. Some light citrus and tea like hops, then a sulfur and mineral character...hmm getting a lot of off aromas here that remind me of DMS.
T: A light flavor up front. Kind of hoppy, vaguely in a light an generic grassy and fruity way. Celery, cooked corn, sulfur, and seems like a lot of DMS to me.
M/O: A light body and moderate carbonation. Not nearly as clean as I would like. This is not a well made lager IMO, and takes me way to long to get through.
When this brewery first opened I detected a lot of off flavors, in their lagers specifically. I haven't returned to them a lot since, but wanted to give this a try. Yeah, I'm still getting a lot of DMS character, or at least what I perceive to be DMS here. I don't mind a touch on minerality on occasion, but this seems to much for me. Disappointing because they do a lot of lager styles I like, but seems to miss the mark a lot.
