On cask at the brewery.
A: Pours a cloudy golden/yellow color. A dense white head rises from the cask pour, and sticks throughout. Lot of lace left behind.
S: Subtle but really enjoyable aroma. Lemon and orange zest, lavender and honey are interesting. Malt aromas are on the bready side and again enjoyable.
T: Follows the nose, with that subtle hop bit up front. Lemon and orange rind, floral and honey like. Some sweetness and baked bread. Hop character reminds me of East Kent Goldings with is nice.
M/O A medium body and well carbonated from the cask, actually might be a bit over charged but not a bother for me. Becomes ultra smooth and clean. Really easy to drink. I can come back to this a lot.
This is a good English Pale Ale/Golden Ale (yeah thats a think in the UK) or whatever the purist CAMRA guys will call this. This would appease them as it does me. Reminds me of Margaret Thatcher from Holler, and glad both of those can be found on cask at their breweries. I wish I enjoyed their lagers this much, but oh well.
