Four City Brewing Company

Right by the Orange NJ train station, corner location, I imagine parking can be difficult here at prime times.

Midsized room with the bar towards the rear as you enter. Lots of high top tables, several TVs on with the game of the moment playing. Front part is all with large windows out onto the street scene…kinda of an industrial/mixed use k area and quite close to the highway passing thru close by.

Friendly guy behind the sticks is always a plus. About 16 of their own brews flowing on tap, plus several options in cans/bottles available to go. Of course I tried a hazy IPA, got some to go and found all the selections worthy and enjoyable….dont believe they have any real food (gotta love Jersey laws)

Went for the 1st time 2 nites ago w my daughter - very nice experience! We tried 5 different beers between us, all of which we enjoyed (I especially liked the Rocktoberfest), took a 4 pack & a bottle of strong rye barrel aged stout home for later consumption. Will be back!

 

Four City is one of the few craft breweries in New Jersey located in an urban area as opposed to an industrial building or ritzy suburban retail space. That's not a criticism of any other brewery but it makes Four City unique. It's located in downtown Orange - just seconds from Route 280 and a few steps from the Orange Station on the Morris-Essex train line. It's located in a modern building. The space has an industrial feel but with lots of color and African-American artwork. The music is a combination of rock, soul, hip hop, and ska. Pretty cool! the staff is very friendly and enjoy discussing beer with you. The beer itself ranges from perfectly acceptable to quite good. For New Jersey, Four City is a unique brewery experience that I highly recommend.

 

Very cool vibe, about 15 beers on tap and all 6 I tried were really good. All the staff was super nice, super excited to patron this place.
