Pint on draught at the brewery. Served in a plastic cup due to COVID 19 restrictions. It pours a slightly hazy copper color with a thin, ecru colored head and spotty lacing. A rather subdued nose; mostly caramel malt and lite floral hops. The taste opens hoppy and bitter. As it warms the taste opens up with additional caramel sweetness, fairly sour lemon, and bitter grapefruit rind. This ale has a nice, full mouth feel with fairly lively carbonation, and the 7.5% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, The Tip really improved as it warmed and I drank it slowly. It's a nice offering.
