DATE: November 25, 2022... OCCASION: scheming Christmas plans with Shan post-Black Friday... GLASSWARE: HopDevil nonick... pours a light golden yellow body rife with tiny, champagne-like bubbles that build a half-finger's worth of snow-white fluff holds staunchly... most GF beers don't hold their head half so well as this--a great start... lemon, vanilla cream, light garden herbs, citronella, hard water, sweet sorghum and brown rice all roll into the aroma... smooth, crisp, dry at the finish with a refreshing, medium-bodied effect... lemon, honey, and sweet sorghum are the early impression, with a bit of the off-flavor that taints the usual GF offering... some white wine tannin character present, with some funky yeast esters trending towards a lagerish effect... Sunken Silo, thank you for having a dedicated tap to a GF offering--this works as a pale ale, light on its base but aromatic and engaging in its hops... just had one at OMG as well; great to see it making the distribution rounds....
