Poured from undated can into a shaker glass. It pours crystal clear, grassy-golden with a half finger cap of milk-white foam and sheen of lacing. Its smell features lemon, grapefruit, and a whiff of sweeter tropical fruit. The taste opens with tart citrus, including lemon peel and grapefruit rind, crackery malt, and some balancing tropical fruit sweetness. It is quite well-balanced. This ale is lite and crisp and the 6.5% ABV allows for very easy drinking. Overall, Hazy Bro Intervention is my introduction to the Cold IPA style and I am impressed. I believe this can is several months old and I suspect that if fresher, then the tropical notes would be more pronounced.

DATE: September 1, 2025... OCCASION: returning to another pairing for the book club's novel (Martyr!), exclusively due to its name... GLASSWARE: nonick... pours a clear, golden body with intermittent bubbles...its snow-white head, two fingers in thickness, holds attractively well into its drinking... sharp pine, lemon, grapefruit, light pepper and herb, and buttered bread form a fair aroma... its body is a solid, balanced, easy-drinking consistency, thirst-quenching and crisp--fresh, snappy, and active on the teeth... I appreciate its dry finish, with a lingering taste of pine, bubblegum, and toast... lemon, pine, pepper, bread, fresh mown grass, and dry champagne make this is a cleansing, attractive profile that indeed resets the desire to have anything beyond a classic pale ale...
