Poured from a 0.5L bottle into a Samuel Smith pint glass, no bottled date (purchased in late the spring and let it sit in the basement). Black in color with a finger tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves some minimal curtain lacing to begin but washes out towards the end. Bourbon is forward in the nose and flavor with whiffs of chocolate, chicory and roasted malts present. Taste is pleasant, somewhat smokey, with very little alcohol burn despite the high ABV. Body is medium with slight carbonation present throughout. For fellows that favor bourbon this would be an excellent choice. I'm a fan, well done!

Strange beer. Pours black. Huge and I mean huge bourbon hit on the nose. Taste is very big bourbon flavor too. Normally I love this but maybe it’s too much, considering the 9% ABV. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Very good overall.
