Notes: Opaque black body beneath a creamy head of tan foam. Average head retention and lacing. Limited aroma of dark chocolate. Fuller flavor with dark chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, roastiness, and a hint of black licorice. Firmly bitter (@ 60 IBUs) and dry and roasty in the finish. Medium-full in body and smooth across the palate. A decent enough attempt at the style. Enjoyable.
