Festbier was brewed in collaboration with our friends and fellow German-loving lagerheads at Confluence Brewing Company. Festbier uses 100% German ingredients and a five step, single decoction mash. Festbier is golden in color and features lighter flavor notes of rich biscuity malt.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high dense off white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose along with hints of spicy hops.
T: The taste is a tad sweet and has flavors of biscuit and toasted malts. Hints of floral and spicy hops are also perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied, clean and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This festbier is nice and malty but very easy to drink.

500ml bottle into a tall glass. No freshness dating, but a recent one off release.

Looks very nice in the glass. Darker golden body, persistent bright white head, a little scattered lacing.

Floral aroma that is also quite musty.

On tasting, well balanced, malty, not overly sweet. Floral hop presence but no bitterness. Bready.

Mouth closer to full than medium, finish is where a light dry bitterness pops up.

Overall, pretty solid festbier. Aroma was a little off, but that's a light knock on a nice beer.

On tap at the brewery. Nice, tad more sessionable Oktoberfest.

500ml bottle. No dating information found.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Attractive one finger, very white, small bubble head. Leaves scattered spots of lacing.
Aroma is biscuit malts and floral hops. Rather subdued.
Taste is slightly sweet with biscuit malts. The floral hops are more of a minor contribution. Trails off rather quickly in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with some smoothness and slightly crisp. Very good carbonation.
Not real expressive in smell or taste, but very easy drinking and could be a good candidate for session work. Not too bitter, not too sweet, with good mouth feel.

Pours a slight hazed golden wheat color with a fresh white head has Minimal lacing. Smell is wheat ,malts and baked bread . Taste follows nose it very light for the style some pale malts mix with fruit and biscuits. Mouth feel is light bodied with medium carbonation, not getting “festbier “ so much out of this one its light. Tastes like a Pale Ale hybrid. It taste very good however and is refreshing. Would not be my go to in the fall for the style especially at $8 for 500ml.
