Brewed with 100% German malts, hops, and yeast. A five-step mash complete with a decoction resulted in a beer that drinks super clean with low bitterness and classic notes of toasted cracker and caramel maltiness.

Excellent, mostly clear body; lively carbonation; thick, dense and creamy white head. Nice caramel nose with a touch of seasonal spiciness; pumpkin and squash hints. Generally nice taste; light caramel with a suggestion of pumpkin; light, earthy sweetness; mild spiciness; little to no hop bitterness. Medium body; a bit glassy; mild residual sugar presence; light residual sugar presence.

A nice enough Oktoberfest beer; a little lightweight overall, yet quite drinkable.

Poured at 53 °F; no bottling date info seen.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of grainy biscuit malt with a touch of caramel, wheat and grassy hops. Flavor is grainy and biscuit malt, grassy and lightly floral hops and a hint of caramel. Whole grain biscuit and moderately hoppy finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Another Octoberfest lager that straddles the style between Marzen and Festbier. This one is quite grainy in the malt and a darker color, but has some whole wheat character too. Caramel is a minor note, so not really a Marzen profile, although some hints are there. A very nice, almost rustic Octoberfest with complex grain malt flavors and slightly more aggressive hopping than traditional (which I appreciated). I liked this quite a bit.

From a 500 ml bottle into my Dangerous Man Brewing tall shaker, pours a clear rusty amber, topped with big puffy foamy head, decent retention and lacing. Nose (and taste) kind of remind me of a number of an alt…a little sulfur, caramel, toast, a little allspice, floral hops. The caramel and allspice don’t add up to too much sweetness, which I appreciate. Body is pretty light for a marzen, carb is moderate and the finish is just a tad bit lively but no bitterness. I’m not getting much from the yeast…idk, it really reminds me of a “solid (but no better)” alt-beer….different than most Oktoberfests around. Interesting. Glad I tried it.

500ml bottle. No dating information found, but timed as a seasonal release.
Slightly cloudy, pale amber colored body. Big, multi finger head upon pouring of off white head. Short strings of lacing.
Aroma is bready, with a sweet note, and a bit of spice.
Taste is super bready, with a touch of caramel. Floral and herbal hops with a touch of spice. Just a bit of malt in the aftertaste.
Full bodied mouth feel. Very good carbonation.
Very drinkable fest beer, with the malts and hops blending to get close to a rich and slightly sweet caramel flavor at the end of the tasting profile. Certainly tastes like a fall season beer.
