Ten Eyck Brewing Co. "Tacocat"
12 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$2.79 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a lightly hazy straw gold body beneath a short head of white foam. Unfortunately the head fades to nothing in a matter of seconds, and there's no lacing to speak of. The aroma is clean with a sweetish malt but no hops, which is expected for the style. The taste is a little sweeter than I thought it would be but that's OK. It remains clean, and it's a little bit grainy. There's a light fruitiness to it from the yeast but nothing more than would normally be expected. The bitterness is low but it still finishes mainly dry. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and crisp with a standard carbonation level. All in all it's a well made lager except for the head retention and lacing.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a straw color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, grains. Taste is the same as the aroma, refreshing and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Straw appearance, effervescent, light body, fizzy head, full flavor. Not getting as much lime as some others of this style, but really like it and would order it again.
