Poured from the can into a stange Gaffel branded glass.
Excessive sudsy and fizzy foam out of the can, nearly filling the entire glass. Eventually settles to no lace and a thin collar. Dark straw to pale yellow color body with some soda like carbonation apparent.
Aroma is kind of odd. Excessively fruity but not in a hop like way. Senses candied like jolly rancher cherry, which seems so bizarre. It's a neat but feeling really out of place and doesn't leave much room for any other scent to show up or be noticeable. Kind of an odd one note aroma on this one.
Palate goes in a very odd direction. With the fruity candied note, that comes out on the palate, it seems to taste more like fruit punch. Mid palate hits with real tropical and cherry tang like flavors. More so the mouthfeel is quite wet making the brew come out with no body and more like fruit soda. Faint touches in the finish save it, with just a hint of bready quality that reminds you of some decent beer character.
Something awry, with some neat experimentation, but definitely not what you want in a Kolsch.
