Notes via stream of consciousness: This is listed as a NEIPA and it looks like it. It's a very hazy golden that has almost a tan look to it because of all of the proteins, and an orange sheen at the widest part of the glass. The head is big and fluffy, and off-white in color. It's holding up quite well, and as it drops it takes on a more rocky appearance. The aroma is bright and somewhat tropical. It's got a sweetish berry-like note as well, and fresh spruce or pine. Ahhh, let me taste it... well it's not nearly as juicy and otherwise fruity as I thought it might be, but there's a lot of resin to it. There's pine as well, some herbs, and some earthiness and spice, all of which linger in the finish. It's got some bitterness to it, and some hop burn. I'm not sure what's going on here at all. It smells like a "juicy" NEIPA but it tastes more like something along the lines of The Alchemist's "Heady Topper". There's definitely a lot of hops in play though, and I can only wonder what this costs to produce. I've always felt that there are really two types of NEIPA, the "juicy" and the "dank", and this one straddles both. So, looking at it now, it's got great head retention and lacing. I'm not a fan of hazy beers but forgetting about that, because of course it's as it should be, it's a good looking pint. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. It's an interesting beer that delivers on a lot of counts. Worth trying.
