Notyes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a very hazy but not cloudy golden colored body beneath a full head of rocky off-white foam. The aroma is pretty bright with citrusy and otherwise fruity hops that are peppered with light pine. It smells like a classic three C's IPA. What exactly is in there I don't know but I might guess Cascade, Crystal (based on the name), and Centennial. You get the idea. On to the flavor then... wow, there's more hop to it than I'd imagined given the aroma, and it's got a bold bitterness to it. Yeah, this is bitter and dry with some quickly fading fruit followed by lingering pine and earth in the finish. Once that subsides it's herbal and slightly "dank". Upfront it's definitely citrusy but I'm not getting specific notes from it. It's not orange, although there is a hint, nor is it lemon or even grapefruit, it's just 'citrusy'. There's a subtle bit of some other tropical fruit at play as well, although I'm not really clear on that either. Guava and mango, I think, and perhaps some nectarine and pineapple. The hops, overall, are a pleasant mix that works well atop a basic, sweetish and bready, golden malt base. I'm liking it; it's a take no prisoners beer ~ you're either an IPA drinker or you're not! The mouthfeel is medium to medium-full in body and smooth with a fine-bubbled, moderate carbonation level. My mouth is really coated with hop oils right now as well. Unfortunately the head didn't hold up too well, probably because of the lower carbonation level, and I can live with that as a nice trade-off. The lacing is quite good though, so there's that. Nicely done!
