Twisted Gingers Brewing Co. "Razzin' Cain Razberry Milkshake IPA"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
Notes via stream of consciousness: The Razzin' Cain has poured a very hazy peach colored body beneath a short head of white foam. The aroma is fruity and suggests raspberries and sweet and wheaty malt. There's nothing on the label about it but it seems like it's from real raspberries. The flavor follows and I'm pretty sure that it is real raspberry. There's some additional hop character that I think is berry-like although it's hard to tell, some resinous or "dank"character, and a bit of orange and lemon. The bready malt remains, and although it's sweet it's not overdone and it finishes mostly dry due to a light acidity and some moderate bitterness. I can sense the lactose although I should point out that I'm quite sensitive to it, and it doesn't bother me. It's apparently not overdone as the body is medium on the lighter side. A gently crisp carbonation livens it just enough. The head didn't hold up all that well but it has left some nice lacing which is nice. In the end I think this is another winner from the Twisted Gingers. I wonder what it would taste like without the raspberry because it seems like it would be quite good on its own. With that said, it's the hops that really make this work because without them it would just be another raspberry beer. It has a great balance that keeps it interesting throughout the entire glass.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
