Twisted Gingers Brewing Co. "Do You Need A Hug With That?"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
Notes via stream of consciousness: A massive head of tan foam rests atop an opaque black body. There's just a little bit of mahogany brown and ruby showing at the base of the glass when held to the light. The aroma offers only dark chocolate but the flavor widens to include a subtle fruitiness and an edge of roastiness. A moderate to median bitterness balances it perfectly and it finishes with a dollop of dark chocolate maltiness fading quickly and then leaving it dry. In the mouth it's medium bodied on the lighter side and crisp. The head has held up quite well and I still have a short but very creamy cap of foam. Unfortunately the lacing is limited. This is not a complex style, nor should it be too rich, and it's not. It's an easy drinking dark lager with some extra character, and this one is also very well made. Nicely done!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
