Twisted Gingers Brewing Co. "On The Corner of Cotton & Fleming (Magenta)"
$5 / 8 oz. on tap at the brewery on 8 March 2023
Notes via stream of consciousness: First a note; it's very hard to review a beer inside Twisted Gingers because you're surrounded by the smell of their delicious pizza! Anyway, it's poured with a very hazy body that's capped by a finger's width of white foam. The bubbles are tiny and it's densely creamy. The aroma is fruity over a sweetish malt base with notes of apple, orange, apricot/nectarine, and berries. The flavor follows with some added pine and grapefruit. It's sweetish and not really all that bitter but still surprisingly dry in the finish as there's just a hint of alcohol and "hop burn". That kind of balance and smoothness makes for a fairly dangerous beer at 8% ABV! As I'm drinking this it doesn't come across as being that strong, and I at least know for myself that I'd throw back a few of these not even imagining that it's over 6.5%. In the mouth it's medium bodied, gently crisp, and smooth. I'm not sure that this is a better version of "On The Corner of Cotton & Fleming", nor do I remember the original, but this is damned tasty and enjoyable.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
