A: The beer is nearly jet black in color - only traces of dark brown are visible at the corners of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that rapidly dissipated, leaving only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate and dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has moderate to strong flavors of chocolate and dark malts. Little, if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very chocolatey in both the smell and taste but feels a little thin in the mouthfeel compared to other beers in the style (it also lacks any smoothness).
