Don’t know about this style, from what I read, yeah, will have *notes* of clove and banana. Trailhead’s Hefe was banana overpowering – people around us were asking me if I liked “the banana beer”. It as made with wheat, 2 row barley and liberty hops. Pour was a cloudy, dark amber – kinda murky looking. Again, aroma and taste was all clove / banana. Medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Could only drink 2 pints, just too much fruit.

Not a true representation of a German Hefeweizen in my opinion.Poured a small sized white head with fine-large sized bubbles that fully diminished.The body was cloudy with a yellow hue.The nose was that of banana with a fruity and sweet flavoring.The mouthfeel was smooth, thin and somewhat watery and it was light bodied.
