Good seasonal buddies liked it too. The pour was a clear, deep brown/bronze with a pleasant whitesh / lite brown head that left nice laces. Good aroma of a woody malt that came through in the taste - also just a sight hop bite with charcoal/chocolate undertones that left minimal aftertaste.
Dave the bartender says this one is around 6% ABV. I could (and have) drink these all evening. Like all their beers kinda thin, and comes in a chilled pint glass which is Trailheads serving style.

A seasonal beer. Nice aroma, persisting head and color. The taste was of rich, sweet malt. The mouthfeel was medium and very nice. but very low hops definately not appropriate for a bock. The drinkability was OK, but a poor choice for session. Well maybe next season!

I sampled this brewmaster's special at the brewpub. The appearance was dark amber with a light foam head. There was almost no discernible aroma. The taste was of rich, sweet malt. The mouthfeel was smooth with very light carbonation and very low hop content. The drinkability was OK, but a tad sour aftertaste was a slight turn-off.
