Poured from an undated, but probably at least a year old, 12oz can, brought back from Australia.
On the pour a surprisingly big head forms, but the bubbles are quite large and fizzy and head retention is not great. It does have lemon though so I can let that slide, The body is a very light straw color and has a very light haze.
The aroma is essentially all bright, lemony, citrus, with a faint hint of some nice fruity, yeasty aromas. Generally quite light and simple.
Taste follows the aroma, but is a bit more complex. There isn't quite as much salt as I'd have hoped, but the lemon shines through nicely and has a nice tang that isn't over powering. A soft crackery malt shines through in the finish. There is something that throws off the balance a bit, but I'm having a hard time putting my finger on it. I might just chalk that up to age.
The feel is quite light, almost watery, and there is an astringency that builds up quite quickly as you drink. It is quite easy to put down, but I'd serve this colder than I'm having it right now if I had a chance to try this again in the future.
