Bluffton Trading Post

In a beer desert we have Blufton Trading Post! It has al the local South Carolina beers, including plenty of Westbrook, plus a nice selection of US regional/National brews like Stone and Allagash and a good selection of international include the standard Belgians but also UK beers like Old Dubh. The place was empty during this Saturday occupy your beach house day. But it has a nice clean vibe. I bet it can be a hopping place. The service for both beer and wine was great as we were the only customers.

Nice place but a 16 oz glass of beer was $8.25. With prices like that, doubtful if they will be around for long.

Vibe: This place is a hybrid beer store and bar that has moved into the former location of Scott’s Market. It’s a very large open space that has a bar in one corner and a selection of beers in two other corners. They also have a couple of tables with stools in the center.

Quality: Beers were stored out of direct sunlight

Service: The employees working at the store were very knowledgeable about their inventory of beers and were also especially friendly and offered to provide assistance when selecting beers. I stopped in on a early Tuesday afternoon and there were two people working.

Selection: The store had a sizable selection of domestic and imported craft beers, with a large selection of 4-packs/6-packs of local beers from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. There were also a total of 13 beers available on-tap, which also was a mixture of local and international craft beers.
