In 1883 the Millstadt Liederkranz formed, becoming the social heartbeat of Millstadt. The hall was dedicated in 1892, and their Silver Jubilee in 1908 was legendary. A sixteen-coach train brought thousands to town, numerous German singing societies from across the region filled the streets, and local brewer Leon Schoppe poured 180 kegs of a special brew made for the occasion. That celebration defined Millstadt. It also inspired us.

Liederkranz Maibock Lager launches our Heritage Series, honoring the landmarks and stories that brought this community together. Over a century later, we're still here. Still brewing. Still celebrating.

Maibook is a beer made for celebration, lager brewed for moments worth remembering.

Cheers to Millstadt!

Tap at Millpond. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small, tan head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee, caramel and floral notes. Sweet toffee and caramel taste with a mild bitterness.
