In 1883 the Millstadt Liederkranz formed, becoming the social heartbeat of Millstadt. The hall was dedicated in 1892, and their Silver Jubilee in 1908 was legendary. A sixteen-coach train brought thousands to town, numerous German singing societies from across the region filled the streets, and local brewer Leon Schoppe poured 180 kegs of a special brew made for the occasion. That celebration defined Millstadt. It also inspired us.

Tap at Millpond. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small, tan head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee, caramel and floral notes. Sweet toffee and caramel taste with a mild bitterness.
